Dark Skies
Kielder is the ideal place to experience the beauty and wonder of the Night Sky.We have probably the best dark skies in England. The least light pollution makes Kielder a great place to observc the night sky.With Kielder Observatory only 2 miles out of the village - Twenty Seven B&B is the place to stay while visiting the new observatory. Terry and Jill are family members of Kielder Observatory Astronomical Society (KOAS) and although only novices in astonomical terms they rave about the dark skies they regularly experience. Why not stay in Kielder and experience it for yourself - when its cloudy (and it can be) it really is Cloudy BUT when it's clear - you have to be here!
